Lumen Trees is the new name of a tree business that’s been running for years across Melbourne. We took over as the owners moved overseas, and kept what worked: the people, the experience, the relationships, and the proprietary knowledge. Then we rebuilt the way it’s run.
We show up. We answer the phone. We tell you the truth about your tree, even when the truth is you don’t need us at all.
Our lead climber ran his own tree business in Canberra. He’s spent years on the dangerous, complicated removals, the ones over houses and buildings where there’s no room to get it wrong.

A tree gets more dangerous as it ages. The closer it stands to the house, the less room there is for error when the weather turns. We’ll assess it, and tell you where it stands.
What it costs
Tree removal and maintenance costs thousands. Cutting a tree is the quick part. A tree comes down in twenty or thirty minutes. The cost is everything around it.
The expert crew, the gear, and the insurance are on site before the first cut. These costs happen for every tree.
An idea of pricing:
There’s a floor of about $880. A small tree might take ten minutes. The crew, the truck, the gear and the insurance cost the same whether the work takes ten minutes or two hours. If your tree is genuinely small, you may not need us. We’ll say so.
Every tree is different. This is a guide, not a quote. We come and assess (there’s no charge).
